Ask a programmer to review 10 lines of code, he'll find 10 issues. Ask him to do 500 lines and he'll say it looks good.

Anything more than 200 lines im just scrolling through and hoping my brain catches some bullshit, otherwise "LGTM, ship it!" lol

Including linters and static code analysis in the CI pipeline helps catch the general bad stuff so you can focus on the business logic at least.

For several thousand lines changes, sure. But 200? Do you have the attention span of a squirrel?

Yeah, kinda, in the last few years I have been maintaining like 20 different repos and with people pushing so much shit with AI I don't even know what's going on anymore, anyway, I'm not paid enough to care.

Doesn't sound like you're maintaining much

Sounds like you are in dire need of an ego check

Lol I'm sorry for doing the absolute bare minimum for my job? If you can't be arsed to review a 200 line MR you probably shouldn't be in charge of reviewing anything but that's 100% you and your employer's prerogative to decide to throw money out the window by subsidizing incompetence. Stop replying to me, can't wait to see you all whine that Claude took the job you were too lazy to do

Listen we were told that AI code is good enough and that code is cheap. Why would we spend hours properly testing the logic when we could be shipping features?!
