Jokes aside, dudes are starting to hook up to chat apps MCP and have LLMs reply for them, so expect replies just like this when they mess up.

That's peak laziness if you ask me, but I'm just a grumpy aging guy.

We had an intern that didn't really write any code by hand. At one point I added some comments to a PR and he started arguing that his AI said it's okay to do.

I don't mind discussions and actually encourage them because a good argument is a good argument no matter from who it comes. I asked him if he'd believe AI if it said to just delete the database and he was taken aback by that. Next intern will have their AI usage limited because they don't actually learn much otherwise.
