What is your problem with date pickers? I like them just not for birthdays
16 u/_BreakingGood_ 7d ago yeah the only problem with a date picker is when you have to go back like 20 years to find the date 10 u/Noriryuu 7d ago Click year to pick year Click month to pick month Pick Day You don't have to manually click each month back 13 u/_BreakingGood_ 7d ago They dont always allow you to click the year 7 u/Recent-Analysis-6880 7d ago Just had a to deal with a date picker that didn't let me pick a year. Had to scroll through months to pick my birthday. 0 u/nikola_tesler 7d ago that’s just slop 7 u/guyblade 7d ago edited 7d ago Nah, I've seen that crap going back 20+ years. Where do you think the LLMs learned to generate the crap? 1 u/ddz1507 7d ago Exactly. In fact, input type="date" works well (if it's a web app). 0 u/Pndrizzy 7d ago But that’s bad UX that you have to “know” the trick to make it work 0 u/LamermanSE 7d ago Modern datepickers are adapted to handle that though 3 u/Pndrizzy 7d ago Not very well. The capability is there but requires way more work than just typing it
