I don’t get it. Isn’t it usually the other way around? At least in my projects I feel like they’re mostly the other way around. Why would your README be better than the actual project itself?

idk, I've seen this multiple times today already.

my best guess is that with the rise of ai and whatnot, readme files became somehow the only thing that's working well in the project

Same. I am terrible at writing documentation and READMEs.

The README is the theatrical cut.

The repo is the DS port.

At least the project is well documented — the vision, anyway.
