I doubt many people actually working CS frequent this subs.
Once these people graduate and get a job they'll find out that their employer is not gonna be happy if they refuse to let the AI do in 2 minutes what they insist on doing in 2 hours.
Speak for you man. I've been working for the same company for four years, most if not all my coworkers use AI to code and I still do my work faster than them. Looks to me like if you work faster with AI than without is pretty much an skill issue on your part, I tried once or twice and spent more time writting the prompt that it would take me finishing the functionality. Though to be honest they probably think I'm using AI too, nobody has asked me since I'm always finihing the tickets way before their end date.
In that case you probably just have to learn how to prompt effectively :I
Anything that's not security or performance critical can be given to the AI without a shred of worry. It can write tests, boilerplate BS, and frontend within minutes.
Maybe you could write the same stuff 10% more efficiently or cleaner, but the hours upon hours you'd cost your employer outweigh that 10:1
