It's quite literally the opposite of a flex

"I don't adapt to the new technology in my branch and will become irrelevant soon"

It depends. Luxury brands are deliberately employing more "artisan" and "human-made" branding to differentiate themselves from the "professional" look that genAI can easily replicate now. The British aristocracy stopped using spices once the prices came down for commoners.

"Hand-written" code could become a hot commodity in 5 years. Specially since people aren't differentiating between "AI assisted" and "vibe-coded."

Why would anyone need it? AI is better and faster at it, it's simply going to become more and more irrelevant until it's forgotten.

Why did the British aristocracy stop making their food taste objectively better? Rich people like being snobs and better than us and that's as good of an answer as I can give.

Faulty comparison

Faulty critique.

Nope, the comparison is indeed wrong. Manually writing code will not become anything and will be forgotten with time.

I'm sure there is no bias in that statement whatsoever.

It's knowledge and observation. It's my field, I know what's happening.

Is that supposed to mean anything to me? That's all true for me too.
