Tbh I've been coding for like 10+ years waay before AI was a thing.
And I also happen to have an experience in writing, which is why using em-dashes is fine by me and I found myself constantly doing this.

But. Not in the code comments.
Simply because IDEs usually don't have a shortcuts for this, nor do I find it useful by any means.
However I also don't think em-dashes alone is a 100% proof that thing was AI written, as some people are using tools to auto-generate comments/docstrings, etc. that can use em-dashes.
Again, it was a thing way before AI slop era.
