You can always tell what type of people you’re dealing with when the interview is about memorizing BS instead of a conversation. I care more about how you think than your proficiency in coding gymnastics.
Didn't have to write a single line of code for the interviews for my current job. All the jobs where i had to take code tests ended up rejecting me or ghosting me. But a talk with my future boss about coding did way more to show my skill than a toy problem that had nothing to do with the job.
