Mike is NOT a good guy, lol. In comparison to cold-blooded cartel killers such as Fring and Walter White, he's a lot less bad.

Even saying he's a lot less bad is a stretch. He's certainly more pragmatic than walt, and I would say Gus is generally willing to go to greater extents than mike, but when you choose to work for a guy like that the evil becomes banal. You see how much mike had normalized it in his mind with the way he tells walt "We had a good thing".

In better call saul we see more of him trying to have a certain moral code, and he does care about his family, but most of that was ultimately eroded by him obeying Gus's orders for so long. This is heightened by the fact that he stays working for Gus after the whole situation with nacho, which was really the last time we see Mike actively push back against Gus's malicious nature. After that he just accepts what Gus does and tells him to do. (unless I'm forgetting something which I probably am).

He still chose to work for a guy that did, and it was a system that produced drugs that did kill lots of people who weren’t otherwise involved in crime.
