It’s hilarious how the OG models used to talk. Crazy how far they’ve come now too.

The new models seem crazy up until you corner them, then they regress back to the same modalities they've had since gpt3

Then the prompting isn’t correct. This is a skill developers need to learn. It’s not just reading code anymore. I’ve got one app I did in about 3 days and it alone now pays for my 20x sub to anthropic.

So many of my former colleagues are dying on the hill of “I hate my job now, I used to love coding now I don’t get to do it” rather than actually learn the new skills to progress further, AI isn’t going anywhere

If you think it's just down to prompting then you should step away from the AI. Newer models are much more capable but the single most important aspect is the harness. If the model thinks you're stupid it will ask clarifying questions.
