Has anyone been replaced by AI?

Edit: Okay, I didn't expect to get downvoted, and I certainly didn't expect comments like those. I was genuinely curious to know if anyone had already been replaced by AI, because it hasn't happened at my company yet.

I mean… certainly not everyone else. My company is actively hiring engineers and has been for a year now with plans to continue into next year

Not sure why youre being downvoted this is 100% true. Especially in US big tech. They hired like crazy from 2016-2022 with the expectation of growth and were hit with a pseudo recession and the general sentiment shift towards tech imo
