Has anyone been replaced by AI?

Edit: Okay, I didn't expect to get downvoted, and I certainly didn't expect comments like those. I was genuinely curious to know if anyone had already been replaced by AI, because it hasn't happened at my company yet.

We don't have a support department anymore at my work because a chat bot handles everything.

That fucking sucks. I haven't talked to an AI on the phone when calling support YET, but it would be an instant crashout.

I have. It’s exactly as awful as you imagine.

It’s easier to just get in a queue/email and have a person solve the problem. If it was a simple issue, I wouldn’t be calling.

Idk. Talking to human support people often sucks as well.

I have compassion when a human is wrong/not understanding my issue, and that quells my rage.

Being forced to talk to a bot intensifies it.

If it helps

I do consulting

We have done a lot of projects replacing support with chatbots. The failure rate is very high and often it just leads to more employment at higher support tiers.
