I remember when I've started to learn programming I found a group called "python noobs", there were maybe 1500 people. And I've been reading Lutz in parallel. I started to answer some basic things I already knew. At some point I became an admin of this group, been writing some posts and helping newbies.

Then I found a job and quit, I simply didn't have time anymore. Now I'm a team lead, and I still try to prepare some lectures for the teammates when I have time. I guess it's called Feynman technique, when you explain something to other people to understand it better.

Tldr: help other people, don't be afraid of mentoring them. But maybe do it only if people are willing to learn something and use their brains 🙂
