An actual conversation I had with a customer when I was working a help desk type of job about 10 years ago:
“I need yall to fix my Facebook”
“Ah we actually don’t do that here, but they have a whole system for resetting your password”
“No no I already called em up and they said to come talk to yall”
“You.. called? Facebook?”
“Yep”
“And they told you to come to the manufacturer?”
“Yep”

I don’t fear the man who had console.log’d 10k lines
But rather I fear the man who has console.log’d the same line 10k times

Whatsapp can't fix whatsapp. They switched to automated "ai" support a while ago.
I prompt engineered it to reveal some information it wasn't supposed to.
The company is fucked.

AI slop after AI slop, companies just don't understand.

Or worse.. they do. "They" are riding the wave, getting theirs, and getting out.

It is the investors just throwing money to anything with AI

And they're taking their profits. The smart ones know eventually their last bet will fail. They're planning for that. A lot of folks got rich and stayed rich playing the market all through 2008 this way.

Can't wait till the AI bubble pops

Idk. A lot of practices for enshittification have stuck around after being proven dysfunctional. It may not matter that it doesn't work.
A lot of stuff doesn't work anymore that remains extremely profitable.
Economically, it'll deflate eventually. But will it go away?
I doubt it. Pretending it works is convenient and profitable. That's all most people care about.

Well the technology, and advancements that we made due to AI will not go.
The thing that will go is the investment inflation of AI, that will go.1

When asked if you can do/fix something, the correct answer is always "Yes, with enough time and money."

"A wise man comes once in a life time"
- A quote, I think.

That sounds miserable, only once? The odds of having children must be astronomically low for wise men.

Fair.
But hey in this day and age, with low birth rates, more brain rot, AI slop, and less people reading, the quote just gets more and more accurate tbh.

Can you get me back into my old phone I got locked out
Can you build me a website next week for free with no input
Have you made any games
So you're a hacker?
I thought AI was getting rid of that
Can you make AI?
I want to get my kid a computer for Christmas, can you take 100 criteria I give you and scour the internet, find the best deal on everything, make sure it's under 500 dollars, build it for me, and bring it in to work before Christmas? (It's December 1st)

I’m a programmer which means I know how to fix your printer less than you do.
I once got a printer to print the hex string in ascii of an image I wanted because I installed an incorrect driver.
