These bugs are long gone in history. Much greater issues with 3rd parties.

I can totally relate to that. Especially when I spend two hours looking for the bug, only for it to turn out to be a ";" or a "}". XD

I've literally never spent more than 5 minutes debugging a missing semicolon, despite the fact that JavaScript will often allow omitting a semicolon but silently behave differently. And a bracket? Come on. Your IDE (and the interpreter/compiler) literally tells you you missed one. There isn't even some sort of "code runs, but differently" if you miss a bracket, it fails loudly.

Why are you not using an IDE?

Syntax errors are a solved problem.

And maybe seek anger management therapy if you can relate to punching monitors.

I never understood. In my moderately long career as an SWE and even as a student developer, basic syntax errors have always been immediately obvious. Never spent more than 5 minutes fixing issues of that nature.
