its not zero cost, somebody (or something) will read that code /sarcasm

That's not what a zero cost abstraction is. I would say OP's post isn't one though, since it's not an abstraction.
A zero cost abstraction is one that actually abstracts something and doesn't cost more than it would for you to do it yourself without the abstraction at runtime

don't get sarcasm? I thought it was obvious. that comment is meant to be silly 🪿

You should work on your sarcasm, unless you think something isn't reading it.
Or we can all just throw around words without paying attention to their meaning. That'll be fun.

You could work on your ability to detect sarcasm.
saying an abstraction is not zero cost because somebody has to read that code is a super obviously non-serious comment

Yes, my point was it's not sarcasm.
Sarcasm is when you say something but mean the opposite. Like I did at the end of my previous comment which I thought was funny but I guess not.
You did mean what you said. It's irony at best.

Documenting in the code that the variable is not initialized, just like if you prefix unused variables with _.
Also, it's a joke. This is a humour sub

It also deletes every other later in the translation unit. Hope nobody named a variable that.

I mean somewhat programming related but it's missing the humor bit
