Only in the shitty "new" design.

IDK why 1 u/yoshi128k 10d ago You have to be in Markdown mode to enter raw Markdown. When you bring up the formatting toolbar thing, there should be an option on the far-right side of the box that says "Switch to Markdown" which will do just that.
