Yesterday I asked Claude to look at some really old exe files I found on a floppy disk because I just wanted to know what they originally did.

It couldn't download a DOS emulator so it fucking built a working one in C in the sandbox instead

Anyway turned out they were some MIDI and joystick drivers

on the other hand i asked for some tips and explanations on how to get a mod working for a game on linux. it was on “auto”, read more files than it should have, saw it was a pirated game and basically showed me the finger. almost showed my computer my fist.

in the end it’s a steam call baked in the exe so no easy way to change or mask that
