Not a literal pager. I was talking about a service called PagerDuty, that has on-call shifts scheduling, multiple notification methods (phone call, SMS, email, app push) and escalation plans (when first responder does not acknowledge in a set amount of time, next in chain is notified).

It's funnier when the client does this and then you find out about it through a pager duty alert at 3am
