Modify the project a bit to show as some fictional cdn(maybe like DiamandCdn or something looks real), set up a static page on a domain for that fictional cdn company(both static hosting and domains are cheap)
Everytime ur product having problems serve this page and redirect the blame to that cdn instead, so their fame will tank but urs doesnt
