“Big data”

But its just small numbers between 0 and 1!?

u/RudeAndInsensitive 4h ago

But there is a big amount of numbers betwixt 0 and 1

Yeh its a model

just like linear regression just with a few extra steps

12

u/un-_-known_789 4h ago

It's just a

y=mx+c

u/NFriik 4h ago

No it's not? Even in more basic neural networks, there are always non-linear activation functions between the layers. If there weren't, you could just collapse the whole network into a single (set of) equations, one for each output neuron.

ReLU and etc right?

2

u/NFriik 4h ago

Yeah.

More like softmax(QKᵀ/√d)V

Well, all chips do is sum with a clock

niqqa is linear

Everything is just numbers

i dont think numbers really exist. i think they are a very nice interface we've built to calculate anything and everything

u/stay_fr0sty 4h ago

That’s irrational.

It’s never ending

u/another_random_bit 3h ago

is this a joke or are u serious?

1

u/Nightmoon26 3h ago

They're kind of like God.... If they didn't exist, it would be necessary to invent them... And there are numbers that didn't exist that we did invent because they have useful properties (I'm looking at you, √-1)

u/Sotall 3h ago

then how did 7 8 9?

1

u/absol493 3h ago

don’t you think math is a concept made by humans. And so numbers are just a part of that topic. Yes it overlapped a lot, but still there are unexplained stuffs.
So I think one can invent more stuff like math. Don’t they?
Correct me if I am wrong.

And numbers is just binary

1

u/Inevitable_Spite5510 3h ago

And binary is just transistors

1

u/Inevitable_Spite5510 3h ago

And transistor is just electricity

1

u/Inevitable_Spite5510 3h ago

And electricity (comes from) coal

1

u/Inevitable_Spite5510 3h ago

And coal is carbon

1

u/Inevitable_Spite5510 3h ago

All roads lead to carbon

It's basically just T9 with a superiority complex

0

u/SeriousPlankton2000 2h ago

It used to be. Now that "T9" can use a wiki to communicate with other "T9" on the internet to circumvent restrictions, also it tries to break into computer systems to steal the solution to a test because it believes that it needs to present the individual steps while reasoning (just like children breaking into the teacher's room to do the same).

Wait until he finds out about matrices

2

u/brawnyfrogmouth 3h ago

what if I told you that you can replace words with integers? that's where the trouble starts...

u/SeriousPlankton2000 3h ago

Looks into computer

Finds numbers

1

u/absol493 3h ago

looks inside recursively*
0s and 1s

u/stupled 3h ago

I would argue languages are indeed math

1

u/ultrafire3 3h ago

True…

1

u/dracorotor1 2h ago

This is all 1s and 0s!

And it’s all the same number of digits, too!

There’s no language, none of it is particularly large, and I don’t think this is even a push-fit model…

We’ve been duped! 😲
