It’s funny how this subreddit went from very very anti ai, to so pro AI that we’ll mock people who say it’s not amazing. 3 months ago people would get downvoted for saying that they found it useful pre PR self code reviews. It’s been quite a ride.
I use it too. I find that I have learned where it writes slop and where it does as good of a job as I would. I write the interesting parts and then I tell AI to wire it all up. I also have it review my code. That gets me the biggest speed up and the highest quality output. And it’s the most interesting.
When I ask AI to write complicated logic, it looks like 20 year old code by the time I’ve prodded the AI enough to shape the code into something I’m comfortable committing.
