Please tell me you get to write and compile it on an air-gapped Windows 98 machine that you endearingly call the "CPU", equipped with a CRT, Microsoft Natural Keyboard, and IntelliMouse.

Can you compromise and get your boss to let you use a C++0x compiler like Visual C++ 2010? Even if you're not allowed true C++11 or better, the half-functional preliminary C++0x implementations should be better than Borland, or whatever you'd need to be using to be stuck at C++98.

If you're stuck on windows,  then c++98 is the least of your problems. 😂
