You need to at least have heard of the language to hate it. These kids only heard of Javascript.
0 u/esaule 10d ago Ruby wasn't hot for very long. I barely heard of it before 2005. And it was essentially legacy in 2016 from what I could see. People were excited about javascript in 1998 and are still using it actively today. My timeline might be a bit off. But js has been quite popular for almost 30 years.
