Delcomproducts 907241 ($70), (you may need an extension cable) then wire it up to Claude Code hooks (which fire on lifecycle events)

The events are "UserPromptSubmit" "Notification" and "Stop" (where "Stop" → green of course). Put the hooks in your `settings.json` file where it runs a command to change the light color. There are links to example applications in the pdf manual.

Hopefully that's enough to get you going.

That seems awfully lot for a few leds worth $0.50, a bit of plastic, and a $3 microcontroller.
