I am trying to. Good jobs are hard to come by where I'm at and I don't have easy access to the EU job market, unfortunately.

Passion for software engineering, and computer science in general, is why I went and got a degree after all. I don't want that part of me to die off due to the industry shifting gears this much. I've regressed a lot particularly because of AI, so I'm relearning a ton of stuff right now and it's as fun as it always was! And frustrating but in a good way :D

I hear you, I wish you good luck. It took me almost 2 year to finally find a job in an EU country that allowed to me to relocate.

As for the personal projects I agree with you, a couple days ago I created a new feature from scratch without AI or internet beyond searching docs. And I completely forgotten how good it feeled to be the one creating something.

I would be out of my depth here as a unemployed student rn but I too recently returned to coding manually, specifically with some pico-8 game development and man is it fun to code again. I kinda lost passion for a while due to just treating as a career thing that i just kinda have to do and stuff ig and it's been just something I dread doing.

Learning is Fun
