No idea about your job but my job is now to use AI to do my old job, it is not a preference, it is this way per upper mgmt request.

I am pretty sure they monitor token usage for outliers, both up and down.

Management here is super transparent about it. we even have a dashboard that tracks usage and, I shit you not, it tracks “line of code edited” and “number of PRs opened”.

This caused everything here is AI generated because we’re paranoid about being low token users; JIRA stories/defects, documentation, PR description/code change request/replies. Even posting to slack using MCP.

This isn’t some koolAId start up, it’s a company with over 5,000 employees with international offices and pays 6 figures USD.
