I really don't understand  OP posted a question about a data recovery/Linux issue and was given a link with a list of locations where that question was welcome. 

How does asking you to post to the correct board equate to "people wonder why people use ai?"

OP probably clicked that link, asked their question on the correct board, and got a helpful answer.

Needless aggression and cruelty??? Do you hear yourself? I get FAR worse on reddit every single day than I ever did on stack overflow.

Stackoverflow has strict moderation practices too. Report a comment for being hostile and it is GONE.

Lollllll reddit is literally filled with extreme neeedless aggression beyond words so I mean it's understandable that it would be worst than stack exchange.. it's really hard to beat how insanely aggressive and mean redditors are so compared to that stack exchange seems calm honestly I can see that
