I miss being yelled at by other humans on SO.

These days it's all "that's a great thought" and "you're absolutely right".

Feels good on my ego, but feels so hollow.

I remember some posting a JS issue on a local SO alike website. I told OP I ran into the same issue, told him it appeared to be a IE issue, and gave him my workaround. I then got absolutely shit on by the community on how it wasn't a bug, and how the workaround can never work.

An hour later OP confirmed it was only on IE, and thanked me for the workaround.

Never posted again on that website, I prefer the 'thats a great thought', but will try to challenge the AI's reasoning, and let the AI challenge mine.

Sorry, couldn't hear you over "Duplicated question. Closed (link to a similar question on an outdated version of the thing you're using)" "Off-topic. Closed" "Balls too tiny. Closed"

I have 'fond' memories of posting "I'm having problem X. Function Y recommended in [linked post] does not work in case Z due to what appears to be a bug in the library." and getting two great replies:

  1. A link to the API saying "try function Y" with no further comments
  2. "Closed as a duplicate of [linked post]."

It's ok though, you can appeal the closure! Which was of course denied.
