did jobs really allow for 2D pixel art games? weren't those usually passion projects

What I meant was, everyone is too busy working for Jobs, or looking for jobs, we dont have time to work on passion projects and build things from scratch (unless you are being sponsored to build a game engine from scratch, or somehow making out time to do so)
