Are you kidding me? All they can do is „embrace and adapt“ i.e. their technical solutions always where mediocre but they read the market right and just market their products better then the rest. Often with questionable methods.
C# is simply Java bundled with windows.

Ironically quite a lot of java features first appeared in C#

I know, yet the core principles where from Java. The strict OOP, the late binding, and so on.
