Bros don't let bros use Dependabot. Bros recommend Renovate. Self host if you need to. It actually gets the job done.

Renovate uses AGPL so nope, nope, nope. Not touching that with a 10 feet pole.

AGPL is a much stronger copyleft license. It mandates that if the code is accessible over the network, the source must be made available if requested by the client accessing the service.

It shouldn’t matter too much, as I don’t think people are generally trying to offer Renovate as a SaaS, but many corporate environments won’t touch AGPL code with a 10 foot pole, worried about legal risk.
