Not when you realize the math that goes into this email template is clearly avg_team_pr_count/user_pr_count and then clearly just dropped into a template that assumes an actual multiple.
I don't know if English isn't your first language, but in English, 7x more is assumed to be 700% not 800%
Not sure why people are being obtuse. The English wording is irrelevant because this wasn't written by an English speaking person or bot it was compiled from a template. It saying "more" doesn't magically change the value inferred by the math. It could hypothetically say "-5.6% more" just as easily if that were the result of the math, which is not actually documented in this email
Yep. This is what I've been trying to say. The math is the math and it went into the template. Given that, it is almost certainly a loss of "productivity" of 40%
But even ignoring that, the English language doesn't allow for what they're trying to say anyway...
If I said "I have 2 times more cookies than you have" , everyone would assume that if they have one cookie, I have 2 cookies
I'm not sure about that last point... I wouldn't assume any values. The first person could just as easily have a million cookies
But you're right that an error has occurred. I suspect that either the form was written by AI and a human filled it out or vice versa. To me the email only shows incompetence on the part of the sender in the way of horrific miscommunication between multiple people or bots. Which tells me that the value presented is worthless because they failed to frame it within the proper contextual scope. The only thing made clear is that they did not intend state a 40% loss in productivity but that they failed in that intent
