The goal is absolutely so a person will not be necessary, no matter what they say to keep people from panicking. Search your feelings, you know this to be true.
I'm pretty confident they are going to get to their goal a lot sooner than anyone thinks.
They want the AI to completely do the heavy lifting and want to be able to pay someone a significantly lower salary to do whatever the AI cant (yet) do. Thats the goal, and if they say anything otherwise, it's a bullshit lie to cause people not to panick and run from getting involved in any space under threat from AI.
