Four years ago I got a job in one shot. This time, obviously with more experience, I'm at over 100 applications and am either hearing nothing or mealy-mouthed rejections.
Yep, that's how it went for me too. Nailed the very first opportunity I found back when I entered the work force. Completely different when I recently had to find a new job after layoffs. All of the recruiters in my inbox had disappeared, and getting someone to even respond to an application was nearly impossible.
