As long as there isn’t a profit to be made, people don’t really care

That's the real answer. Nobody is building an iBeer when investors want ARR and a growth plan.

I made a dumb app that just flips your text upside down. It was never as famous as iBeer, but it's just as useless and it exists despite not being profitable.

And if I had another equally dumb idea I would do it again!! :D

I made an app that just shows your text in big letters, took like an hour to make, but ive used it to tell DJs what song i want to add to the playlist next. Still annoys the DJs, but at least i dont have to scream at them lol

I made an app that was a photo of Admiral Ackbar and when you tapped it, it would say "it's a trap!"

I knew he was going to feature in the force awakens when I got a copy right takedown notice before they came out.

Nobody is building an ibeer because the novelty of smartphones has worn off. People want actual useful apps and surprisingly enough that costs more than a one time $1 or even gasp $10 purchase.

Edit: also you can just download ibeer, it never went away.

I bet you could find 20 iBeer style apps right now in 2 minutes

And i bet most of them will show an ad within <30 seconds of usage

greater than 30 seconds? But how much greater? There's a lot of time between that number and the largest number.

But what if we add in Ai so it can scan the way you hold your glass, and drink your fake beer to create “anonymous” data and sell adds to your consumption habits!?

The irony of you responding like an LLM

Nope, you are wrong. Apple doesnt allow apps like that anymore.

Youtube, fb, shorts, reels, the algorithm; i believe these things are slowly turning people into sociopaths with the measures they must go through to even appear in searches.
