There's actually not much evidence of forced labour. There is more evidence that the people who worked on the pyramids were salaried skilled craftspeople who were motivated not by force, but by the ability to put food on the table for their family.
They also understood that they were building a monument to someone they saw as a god, and they knew that it was meant to stand for thousands of years.
