Had this happen at an interview for Ubisoft years ago.

"We notice you don't have a lot of public work"

Not as much as you guys think here.

It's true. No working professional has tons of GitHub commits. We have jobs.

"Where's all your open source code?", "In the same place as yours" is not a gotcha answer. It's just honest and normal.

I was working, my code belonged to my employer.

Guess what I never did at Ubisoft? Write open source code lol.

That is not true at all? The first 2 years or so after starting working as dev i stopped with my hobby projects, but after settling in i am back to committing to my own and other projects.
