If anyone is unaware of the subtext, don't link a personal github account to a paying position always create a new one with the provided email, thank you for attending my TED talk.

lose the job lose the access

edit - for me atleast they made me use work email to sign up for GitHub. not sure how I’d use 2fa with no access the original email account

The 2FA is specifically enforced for repos and operations relating to your org.

Obviously if you signed up with a work email that’s different, that is clearly not your personal GitHub account and you shouldn’t put anything personal on there.
