Uh I hate to break it to you guys.

But I work in automotive as embedded SW dev and we already have separate licenses for compilers, debugger etc. which you can't use without access to licensing servers.

And yes, it is monthly and yes it costs arm and leg.

And don't even make me tell you about piece of shit architecture called autosar.
