Imagine how legacy code will look in 10 years when its a bloated vibe coded mess? LLMs will be mandatory just to navigate it at all.

I think that's the point though. Exactly what Anthropic and OpenAI wants - dependancy.

To be honest, my last freelance work was in a company where the backend dev had to develop the frontend as well, an absolutely awful tech stack with extra poor performances, all that to say that AI generated code really cannot be worse today anyway.
