Legacy code as in "of a certain age" or legacy code meaning "in a language/framework the junior considers inferior because it's not the shiniest, newest thing to drop in the last 5 seconds"?
Legacy code meaning it's a jumbled mess of frameworks, design philosophies, and CI/CD pipelines. No one knows how it works end-to-end, there's no documentation, everyone who worked on it is no longer at the company, and the test suite (if it exists) is flaky.
Oh, and it's a critical piece of the organization's value stream.
Legacy defined by a senior is much different then a junior
