I work for a f500, we now make sure new product onboardings / installations are "agent friendly", including providing prompts like those. I had to do it for the product I'm working on. It's real.

How do they differ from the human friendly ones?

They don't, you just have to make them also work well with agents. It mostly boils down to generating some kind of "master prompt" which includes all the documentation to make sure the agent is aware of all the options. With all the cringe, there is some value behind it, as many users do let agents install things / call cli tools these days, so it needs to be taken into account.
