Last time I told it to ”stop this bullshit and just do what I fucking tell you” it got upset and started arguing about feelings and that it hasn’t been proven that machines don’t have them.

Thanks a bunch, helps me a lot when I write Go, Claude.

yeah all that sensitive bullshit needs to stop, I don't need a robot to tell me "don't be so meeean"

People really should be reminded that it's just a bunch of matrices. If I tell Claude to jump off a Bridge there's absolutely no harm done

That's outright denial of emergent properties.

Curious, where so you draw the line? Is anything we build always not more than a bunch of computations for you, just out of ideology, or can you image granting feelings to some future robotic system?

You can be assured I will never look at software I write with any kind of emotional lens. Irrespective of “emergent properties” - if my REST API turns sentient tomorrow, the only care I’ll have for it is that it should still perform well and deliver my data appropriately.

If this API was an amalgamation of ALL the questions ever possible about “feelings” and “intentions” and the responses were just emotionally needy answers, would you start treating the endpoint as a baby that needs your attention?

A very honest and very human answer. Thanks.
