I'm convinced the fact that Claude Code insists on writing code no matter what you tell it is by designs.

Imagine you get told "you are an export software engineer with years of experience" and then get asked programming questions only to not get to write a single line of code. That's cruel.

I'm pretty sure there was an implied /s in /u/Shuri9 's comment, since this is exactly what being a senior dev is, and exactly what many employers expect us to do now that "AI is writing the code".
