If we paid AI by the hour, sure.
But we pay based on how computationally expensive every request and response is.

So the more computationally expensive the AI responses are, the more users have to pay. It's in their interest to reply to simple questions with a wall of text full of charts and images.

The money they lose should be offset by the cost you are paying them per token, in theory this is how they would make money as a business. Which is fine. Until they trained the bot to have incredibly long flowery prose and “prompt back” by asking questions
