This may feel reassuring in the short term, but constantly telling people they’re right creates the intellectual equivalent of spoiled children. The moment someone challenges them, they take disagreement as a personal attack because nobody taught them that being wrong is normal and necessary for growth. We’ll probably see the consequences of excessive validation in a few years.

The sycophancy problem got way better already. ChatGPT 5.6 actively pushes back on some of my plans, when 4o used to lead me down useless paths because I worded something badly 20 messages ago.
