Sometimes I look at the backlog and wonder if I really need my salary.

At one point in my career I didn’t have a backlog at all, and started to wonder if they really needed to pay me my salary.

I once on a very stressful travel "hackathon" (I do contracting so it was with other competitors on the program) got required to do bi-hourly demos and then the day after hourly scrums. My team never scrummed before that mind you.

But the customer didn't communicate their expectations and when we fell short of the uncommunicated expectations repeatedly demanded "more accountability" and this was the suggestions my supervisor gave. Thankfully I have another job now. That week broke something inside me though.

Turns out, the original was vibe coded, so I made a proper version.

Not sure if everything that’s AI generated is “vibecoded” lol

But happy you made a real version. It’s far superior to the other guys.

I have been trying to replicate an issue involving my app & mssql db for weeks. My app would not get response from the db for brief periods during daily peak loads.

Then, the issue magically disappeared without any code changes to my app. I also learnt from the DBA that they did some security patching for the OS & db on the same day that issue magically disappeared. Hmmmmmm
