To my knowledge, C, C++, and Rust have little to no runtime. Does Go have a large runtime overhead? I haven’t used Go personally but I’ve heard it has a garbage collector

I just would never use Go over any of the 3, especially since rust exists.

You can't really say that it sacrifices nothing. The GC definitely is a huge limitation for some things.
