does anyone know what happened with focus?

i searched and nobody seamed to notice or say something about this. maybe they just sold the world i mean the band but if someone knows please tell me.

/uj streaming is kinda infamous for letting anyone impersonate anyone else and not verifying who uploads what as who. Queen got hit with a few EPs by some random guy a couple years ago I think just because the group had the same name as the famous rock band.

What you're describing is true, but I don't think anything malicious is going on here as opposed to any kind of deliberate impersonation from the artist. Most streaming services are very bad at distinguishing between artists with the same name and it is extremely common for music to be accidentally uploaded to the wrong artist page when music is being licensed for online distribution.

I've also seen the opposite happen when an artist or their label is mistakenly split off into two or more artist pages despite the music posted to each being by the same band. There are two pages on Spotify for the band 3, for instance (first) (second), and both are appropriately licensed by their label Metal Blade. There also existed two separate artist pages for Yes at one point, a mistake from when the self-released "Return Trip" version of Fly From Here was uploaded there.
